Hi! I’m Laura, your new dog trainer, and here’s a little bit about me:
I worked with animals for over 10 years as a marine mammal and bird trainer of various species (seals, sea lions, dolphins, penguins, and more) at AZA-accredited aquariums. All of that education and experience has forever shaped the way I train dogs (and their guardians!).
The type of training I offer focuses on helping dog guardians raise their pups into healthy, well-adjusted adult dogs who have the skills to participate and listen when you need them to.

I am CPDT-KA (Certification of Professional Dog Trainers) certified, which means I have passed exams which require knowledge of ethical practices and dog behavior and development. I am constantly continuing my own education in dog behavior and training, which is an ever-changing science.
I’m also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, and I am licensed, insured, and bonded. I also have a 6-year-old black lab, Rosie (top of page), who helps me become a better trainer every day.
